The Teacher behind the time-savers

I know how overwhelming it can be to teach math and try to do everything.

When I began using the Illustrative Mathematics™ curriculum, I appreciated the structure and emphasis on instructional routines—but I quickly saw how much was missing for everyday classroom needs. There were hardly any unit reviews, formative assessments, or structured supports for students who needed to revisit key concepts.

So I started creating the kinds of resources I was constantly wishing existed:
✔️ Aligned to IM®
✔️ Ready to use
✔️ Designed for real classrooms
✔️ Supportive for all learners

What started as a few PDFs turned into a full TPT store—and has helped thousands of educators spend less time prepping and more time actually teaching.

so I guess I’m a YouTuber now…

Honestly, I didn’t set out to build a YouTube channel.

I was just trying to help my own students during those long quarantine stretches—recording lessons, uploading them, and hoping it would keep them on track while they were stuck at home.

But let’s be real—I was panicking.
Students were out at different times for different reasons, and I had no idea how I was supposed to keep everyone caught up without completely burning out.

So I leaned into what I’d learned during remote teaching and started recording everything.
Yes, it helped in the moment—but I also knew it would help later, too.
For illness, for vacations, for snow days (Minne-SNOW-ta, am I right??). I was building something I could reuse again and again—and save myself a ton of time down the road.

The unexpected bonus? Other people started finding the videos.
And it quickly became clear: teachers, students, and families were starved for clear, ready-to-use math support.

Fast forward to now:
There are over 600 free videos on my YouTube channel—supporting classrooms everywhere and helping teachers feel a little less overwhelmed, one lesson at a time.
